Collega Michel gooide hoge ogen op jFall met zijn talk ‘No-frills REST api testing with REST-Assured‘. Als een van de beste nieuwkomers heeft hij daarmee een timeslot gewonnen om te mogen spreken op Oracle Code One in San Francisco!
Meer dan de helft van de Craftsmen-organisatie besloot unaniem dat Michel (natuurlijk) niet alleen kan afreizen. Als supporters van het eerste uur moeten we gewoon ook bij zo’n uitwedstrijd zijn.

Let’s Build a Blockchain in Java…in 40 Minutes! [DEV4704]
Blockchain technology is hot! But how does it actually work? To understand a new technology, it always helps to try to build something with it yourself. So that’s what happens in this session: building a blockchain from scratch and getting it to work in 40 minutes! Using plain old Java with a little Spring Boot sprinkled on top of it, the presentation touches on all the concepts associated with a blockchain, such as transactions, blocks, mining, proof-of-work, and reaching consensus about the state of the blockchain in the blockchain network. After this session, you will have a better understanding of blockchain technology and how to apply this knowledge to your own projects.
